Who we are

MindHealthy ("we", "us") operates mindhealthy.org.uk, a mental health resource and peer support community based in the UK.

What information we collect

  • Account details: your display name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash, never in plain text).
  • Mood tracker entries: your daily mood scores and any notes you add. This is "special category" data under UK GDPR because it relates to health, and we treat it accordingly — see below.
  • Forum posts and replies: content you choose to post publicly or that awaits moderation.
  • Technical data: basic server logs (e.g. IP address, browser type) for security purposes.

How we use it

We use your information only to provide the service: letting you log in, track your mood privately, and participate in the community. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Mood tracker privacy

Your mood entries are private to your account only. They are never shown to other users, moderators, or administrators, and are not used for any purpose beyond displaying your own trend back to you.

Forum moderation

New posts and replies are reviewed by moderators before appearing publicly, in order to keep the community safe. Moderators can see pending content as part of this review.

Crisis safety

We use a basic automated check for language that may indicate someone is in crisis. This does not involve human review beyond standard moderation, and is only used to surface crisis support resources more quickly — never to penalise or restrict you.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to ask us to restrict or stop processing it. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.

Data retention

We keep your account data while your account is active. If you'd like your account and associated data deleted, please contact us.

Cookies

We use a single essential cookie to keep you logged in securely. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
